North of Mendocino County, along the California coast, you'll find little towns with less people in them than they had a hundred years ago. The freeways don't go here. The highways don't go here. The state roads barely do.

There isn't a lot to do but stare at the shimmer of the sea or wander the sand and woods. But it's more than enough.
